Greetings!
I am back home now in Stettler. It was great to go to church again on Sunday and see everyone. I am working for my dad and it's going pretty good. I have been on the computer a lot entering contacts from work for hours on end. Ha I have also been fixing a bunch of computer things and becoming somewhat of a techy. I don't know a whole lot, but enough to wow my parents. I haven't done a whole lot other than work. I work all day, eat supper, then go to the gym, then watch tv and read. Makes for a mundane boring day, but I like a routine, so it's working for me.
I finally received all my marks back from this last semester. This one professor took over 1.5 months to mark our final papers. Anyhow I did alright, not extremely great, but it was a hard semester. I did pretty well on my exams that I was drugged up on T3s for too so that was funny. On my way home from BC I stopped in at Serena's house and we went for supper and to a movie. It was such a good time and I really miss her.
It's funny, when I'm in BC I consider myself an Alberta girl. I am not all into the recycling, conservation and what not that most BC people are into. Yet when I am home, I consider myself a BC girl. As I was on my bike ride last night young punks were looking at me laughing and I'm thinking, in BC, people who are driving, not biking, are looked at like they are wasting gas. Instead here bikers are looked on as the outcasts so to speak. I'm not condemning anyone I was just noticing the different mentalities and values. It amazes me too that the main thing young people do for fun is drive around. The price of gas is skyrocketing. Just because you live in an "oil" town, doesn't make it cheaper for you. Sure you make more money to combat that, but you still have to pay for the gas like anyone else. It's a different way of life out here and it's interesting looking at the differences.
I still don't have any plans finalized for the summer. Of course I'm working for my dad for May. I have to be in Bamfield on June 8th but I am still unsure of how I am getting there; if I will drive or fly. Then after my classes I don't know if I am coming back here for August or not. I would rather be in Victoria, but I just don't know if it would be possible to find a job for one month.
Well not a whole lot else is new with me. I am glad it's the weekend so that I can relax and maybe do some stuff outside. It's beautiful. Oh how I have been deprived of the sun! Later days!!
