Once in a lifetime
Greetings!
The excitement of the Olympics is widespread now as the opening ceremonies is on Friday!!! My rriends from Starbucks are heading to Livecity in Vancouver to watch it on the big screen along with however many thousands of people. Unfortunately I have to work that day. I am planning on getting downtown at least once during the Olympics. I wanted to avoid it because of all the people and trouble to get down there but I just don't want to miss out. I really wish that I had tickets to some events but some of my friends are throwing hockey parties so I am pumped for those.
I watched the torch relay the other day just up the street from where I live. I was thinking that it would be cool to see an exchange and there just so happened to be one right in front of me. It was awesome!
Work is great. Starbucks is fun especially when I close with Joon and Jay who are my closest friends here and when I work with Katrina and Nicole too. I like Cupcakes too but I have nightmares about making 5000 or so cupcakes which is less than what we really have to make on Saturday. Scary! The only thing is that you don't feel like you ever really accomplished anything because they just get bought or eaten and then you have to remake them all the next day and it's a never ending process. I guess that's what the food industry is like though.
On another note, I got a couch finally! And they are throwing in a table and chair as well. I am pretty stoked other than finding someone that has a truck that I can get to help me haul it to my apartment. It will be nice to have some furniture.
This blog is pretty shallow this time, just talking about life things but I thought that I would give you an update as to how I was doing. Next time I hope to share some thoughts and more in depth topics. Until then, Go Canada Go!
