Greetings all!
Yes I hate to say that I will not becoming a New Jersey girl. I got a letter from Six Flags on Wednesday saying that I didn’t get the job. It’s disappointing to say the least. I am thankful for a somewhat working plan B so that I have something to fall back on, and now I am super excited for it. But you know, God has a plan that is so much greater than I could think of, because if He didn’t allow this opportunity to work out, then He must see me doing something far better. I thought that this was the way that I was supposed to be going because all the doors were opening, I got a cheap flight, I figured out the visa information, but I guess not. I did gain a whole lot from talking with the trainers when I stayed overnight, seeing New York, having a swim test and interview (each interview always helps), and finding out all the visa information that I need for any job in my field.
On another note, I have been spending a lot of money that I don’t have on a whole new wardrobe, which is fun yet stressful at the same time, since I don’t have the money. Today I bought a really, really nice coat that I love, 2 knit three-quarter sleeve sweaters, a lacy tank top and a nicer green shirt. I love it all. Leia and I had gone downtown Vancouver for the morning and evening. We had a great time shopping, seeing the sights, getting my hair done at her school, and eating at this amazing Italian restaurant. It was sosososo good.
This weekend I have my life guarding course again but I also planned some other things like seeing “17 Again” with Leia and her friends and hanging out with Leia and Justin. Next week is full too with things like cheap wing night, home group, trip to the states (maybe), college and career, Worship Invasion, a multi-choir concert and lots of hanging out. I have liked not having to work but a job would be nice. Well mainly having a consistent income and a group of people to get to know and see every day.
Loving the sun and greenness of BC,
Candice
