Officially a Lifeguard

Greetings!

It's a beautiful day today here in Burnaby. Don't know why I am sitting in Starbucks on my computer when I could be outside right now, but some computer stuff needed to be done. I plan on doing some walking and running later today while Leia is at school. I haven't seen too much of her because she is just so busy with work and school and then the weekends I have been busy with my lifeguarding course. But it's done now!!! Yay! I passed all my testing and actually ended up getting first in my class of 16. I was pretty happy about that too. I am just really glad that it's over so I don't have to eat out anymore, I can have free weekends and I don't have to be freezing cold in water anymore.

More news is that I had a phone interview with Camp Qwanoes on Friday and it went pretty well. I should be hearing back from them this week sometime whether I will be counselling there this summer or not. If I do get it I hope to be there before the weekend because there is a workshop on the weekend and advanced crew (volunteering to set up for camp) starts this week too. I just have to be patient and keep waiting. Story of my life.

I got to stay with my cousin Carrie and her family again this weekend and my little second cousin who is less than a month old is sososososo cute. Ha I think I made my mom jealous that I got to hold and see Natalie before she did.

Last week was full of working out, running, coloring with Leia, going to the states with Serena and hanging out. It was pretty eventful. This week probably won't be too exciting. Just more working out, hang out with Dave Iwai (friend from CBC), relax with Leia and wait to hear back from camp. I hope the weather stays as nice as it is right now so that I can be outside and get a start on a tan. LOL.

I wish that there was some professional sports being played right now because I really want to go to a game of some sort. Guess a Canucks playoff game would be out of the question because of the cost. However, hopefully the Flames will win this series and then they could play the Canucks. Then I would have to go to a game!!! It's so hard not having cable to watch these games. Well I am off to get some groceries. Later days!
